Battlefleet Gothic Saim Hann Style

Hi guys,

I acquired a second hand Eldar BFG fleet a few months ago from a very generous friend in the club. It was like new really because it wasnt even undercoated and it just required a little filing and then was ready to start painting.

I have taken a similar approach to this project as I did with my 40k Saim Hann army as in I firstly sprayed the models with Dragon Red from the Army Painter range. This is then followed by a wash of Baal Red and then a dry brush of blazing Orange to get the highlights. This is the basis of the procedure and works well for me.

As you can see I have quite a bit to paint but the great thing about this scale is that it takes no time at all to get a model done. You can easily do a battleship in a evening's painting to a decent level. I hope to get most of this fleet done this week. I have to get more green stuff and flight stands in order to magnatize the ships but i'll do that last.

I started this Void Stalker Battleship tonight and got it to this level in about 4 hours painting so not bad. Still more work to do but i'm reasonably happy with it. I will probably get the entire fleet to this level before going back and adding more detail and tiding up a bit more.

Thank again to Paul Quigley for the beautiful Eldar models I owe you buddy!

Keep checking back,

Johno
